  it's official; they read the letter tonight that puts forth the new procedure.

  if you find an expelled person in the field or are studying with one, you are no longer permitted to give them lit.

  presumably the elders make a decision if an expelled one is regularly attending meetings, but only they can give them lit.

  Hi Freedom Fighters one and all,

  I recently looked at the UK 's webb site for the Charity Commision and the instructions and guide lines for trustees of charitys .There it says that it must be remembered that the charity exists not for the benefit of the people operating the charity but exists to benefit those in need of the product of the charity. With this in mind ,how can withholding " life saving information" benefit those in need of what the Society would call spiritual food?

  This I think brings their charity status into question.I rest my case ladies and gentlemen of the jury.

  Why do people hide on this site?

  something i've noticed when reading the various threads on this site, is that so many people seem to be afraid.

  their scared of being disfellowshipped, scared of being shunned, scared of not being accepted by the congregation, scared that people may find out they don't believe anymore, scared if anyone was to find out they use this site.

  there is advice for people on how to avoid being disfellowshipped, if they may have "said too much" about their thoughts, or how to fade without being noticed.. i don't understand this.

  Hi Adolfius,

  Speaking personally, for myself that is.I am really The Count Of Monte Cristo and I wouldn't want that information spread around in case I'm caught by the Danglers and thrown back into prison, also I haven't had my vengence satisfied . I'm still learning how to fence and fire my pistol straight.

  the speaker that gave our public talk today said that the men on the governing body were very smart.

  he said that albert schroeder could speak corny greek, and that frederick franz was a "roads caller.

  " i know what corny greek is, but i am not familiar with what a "roads caller" is.

  page 371 paragraph 22 of the june 15, 1967 watchtower magazine says, "in addition to all of this, a persons faith can be weakened by what he reads and takes into his mind, dwelling upon "higher criticism," relying on worldly philosophers.

  it should be remembered that, when we are reading a book, the author of the book becomes ones teacher, and for this reason great care should be taken in selecting reading matter.

  Hi Beroean,

  Have you ever heard the fog horn in the channel or seen the light from the lighthouse before the rocks.Have you ever seen a mother screaming stop! when a toddler runs towards the highway.Some of us are on constant alert warning others not to buy into the watchtower scam because we don't like to see other people getting hurt ,not just from the Borg ,but from any hidden danger you care to mention.Why the emphasis on the Brooklyn Bother Boys? answer ; because we have been there done that,bought the watchtower and they are not exactly the boy scouts.

  howard gardner, a professor of education at harvard university, is renowned for laying out the theory of multiple intelligences (mi), which argues that the customary views of intelligence are too narrow.

  whilst traditional iq tests measure verbal and mathematical skills, mi theory maintains that humans have multiple intelligences.. included in these are spatial, musical, bodily-kinesthetic (movement), interpersonal skills, intrapersonal and naturalist (understanding and classifying objects in nature).

  so whilst some may not be to 'hot' on mathematics they may be great musicians or wonderful at understanding human beings.

  Judge Rutherford's Cadillac in Awake magazine

  i don't know the date but it must be in the jan issues of the awake magazine between 1999-2004. it mentioned the subject of automobiles and it had a photo of a 16 cylendar cadillac and the man next to is no other than judge rutherford himself.

  has anyone seen that article?

  my mother told me that only 87,000 got baptized last year.

  The Brooklyn Bother Boys made it up as they went along. You do not have to be Sherlock Holmes to realize that .It's the same with the invisible return doctrine - every eye shall see him, but not literally, "only we can tell you what the Bible means and if it doesn't fit our reasoning we will alter the Bible to make it fit in."

  They might as well say ,only the the twelve in the upper room ,at the the table, are annointed and can partake of the emblems.Jesus said keep doing this in remembrance of me ( a commandment) for all his followers.

  All the the witness rank and file should get together and protest that they have a "feeling,"a very strong feeling, that it is they who should be partaking of the bread and wine in order not to be disobediant to Jesus. Change has to come about from below and until ordinary jws' start doing something about it they will continually be led by the blind.

  Yes, is the short answer,but just as cigarettes come with a health warning so should the Watchtower product. They should have to carry the message, on every magazine and book ,"THIS INFORMATION CAN SERIOUSLY DAMAGE YOUR WEALTH ,MIND AND BODY , AS ALL OUR PREDICTIONS ARE FALSE."

  When I was a boy there used to be a newpaper published called Billy's Weekly Liar. The difference with that and the Watchtower was that one was very funny and the other ,well you know what that's like.
